The I Magic uses the bike you currently have on a trainer that looks like most other trainers. However, the I Magic works in conjunction with a computer placing the rider in any of several different terrains. If the simulated course goes up hill, the resistance of the trainer increases to match the grade of the hill. The top-of-the-line Tacx Fortius model even accelerates your wheel as you descend, giving you the most realistic ride you can get without going outside.
For the ultimate in realism the I Magic also features a number of real-life rides with video taken from famous climbs in the Alps to fun rides in California with the difficulty to match.
ATA Cycle, Concord has one set up with a projector screen (see above) so it really feels like you are in the action.
ATA Cycle, Cambridge features a regular computer monitor that feels every bit as realistic.
You can also perform tests on the trainers from time to time to gauge your fitness or see how many watts produced in a simulated Tour de France stage.
We offer home installation as well as technical information and dealer support. You'll have everything you need to take full advantage of the Tacx I Magic.
Next time your in town take a swing into the shop and get a demonstration of the I Magic, we know you'll be enthusiastic about how fun and realistic a ride on a trainer can be.
