Well, as you may know from the previous post we received several 2009 Look frames and we felt it would be appropriate to dress one of these frames with the new Campy 11 speed and here are the results.

Look 585 comes with the ErgoPost and the rest of the kit includes Easton EA90 SL wheelset at 1530 grams, Continental GP4000S tires.

Reynolds Ouzo Carbon handlebars and ProLogo Choice seat finish up the rest of the kit.

Chorus 11 Speed drive train looks virtually the same but with the 11 gear you can definitely find that optimum gear ratio.

The shifters however went through a complete overhaul. The new ergonomics look a little out of this world but fit your hand comfortably. Shifting is crisp as is expected from Campy.

Brave the cold and come and check out these new wonders for yourself and keep posted for new updates on the ATA Blog.

Christmas came a little early here at ATA CYCLE, we just received the first shipment of 2009 Look frames and bikes. Here is a quick look at the new Look road line. New color schemes for the top three look stables 595, 586, 585 are definitely hot. This year Head Fit system is featured in all three frames.

Starting with 2009 Look 585, this classic frame does it all seamlessly combining stiffness and all day comfort.

in the Origin colors Look 595 with the integrated seat post design gives a %15 stiffer frame then the 585. Carried on from previous year is the over sized bottom crown bearings on the fork giving the bike superior handling qualities.

and the top tube says it all!

The Look 586 moves away from the lugged design, offering a lighter and a smoother riding frame. This is the limited edition frame features the same integrated seat post design and the fork with 1' 1/4 bottom 1' 1/8 top bearings.

141 of 200 units produced.

Not to be outdone by its pricier elder siblings Look 566 pack a quite a punch on its own.

Aggressively priced, geared towards club racers along with charity and Gran Fondo riders, 566 comes equipped with Sram Rival or Ultegra SL component groups.

Innovative tube shaping reduces the overall weight and improves ride comfort without sacrificing on the rigidity of the frame.

Kitted with FSA CarbonPro Handlebar, seat post, OS150 stem and Fulcrum 7 wheels, Selle San Marco Saddle the new Look 566 is definitely among my favorite bikes of the year. Come and see all the new stuff from Look and stay tuned for the upcoming Look triathlon frames and bikes. Happy Holidays

Belgian pairing of Tosh van de Sande and Stijn Steels took to the boards during the traditional high point of Six Day racingseason this weekend, at the Ghent Six Day, with victory in mind. Riding a Museeuw MF3 Pista, Van de Sande, who is a member of the AVIA team and is the current Junior World Championin the points race, was partnered with Steels in the UIV Talents Cup which showcases the very best track cyclists atU23 level. Despite their position as pre-event favourites,Van de Sande and Steels were pushed hard by American pairing of Austin Carroll and Guy East who had made the trip from the U.S. determined to take victory in the event. Indeed it wasCarroll and East that took the overall lead on day 1 with Van de Sande and Steels left to pick up the points jerseys butfrom then on it was all about the Belgians. Day 2 started with a one-lap time trial for the UIV Cup, where Steels and Van de Sande took second which cut the Americans lead and then followed it up with an emphatic victory in the 200-lap Madison. The pair won three of the sixsprints and finished second once on their way to stealing the overall leaders jerseys from Carroll and Guy, a lead they heldon to for the remainder of the event. Despite celebrating their win, Van de Sande and Steels will soon be hard at work again preparing for exams in January atthe University of Ghent, where they are both currently students. Carrying Van de Sande to victory in the UIV Talents Cup was his Museeuw MF3 Pista designed and built specifically for thedemands of international track riding by master frame builder Roberto Billato. Mixing high modulus carbon at 70% with30% flax fibers produces an ultra stiff and responsive track frame that mated with the MF9 fork gives that extra edge of comfort six day racing demands.

ATA Cycle at Interbike

This year the Interbike was a little different for ATA Cycle, as the sole retailer of Museeuw frames, we got to hang out at the Museeuw booth quite a lot. We spent a lot of time chatting with the Lion of Flanders and learning a great deal about how these remarkable frames are made.

Of Course, that doesn't mean we didn't stroll around and look for all the eye candy around the show floor. First here is the Museeuw MF1 made 50% carbon 50% flax fibers, that gives the bike an unmatched road compliance without sacrificing rigidity and power transfer. An integrated seatpost and carbon dropouts finish off the frame and the Super Record 11 looks pretty bling on this beauty.

The MF3 features the same main frame as the MF1 but utilizes a traditional seatpost and alloy dropouts.

Moving on to the other areas, this Storck tri bike is definitely one to bee seen in person, it looks fast just standing still.

Also over at the Fondriest booth this TF2 in green is definitely hot! Green is the new black.

check out all these other colors too, in pink and baby blue.

Velocity Rims are definitely expanding their color choices.

We were lucky to find some time to visit the Trialtir booth, importer of DeRosa Bicycles.

Besides the ATA jersey this De Rosa Neo Pro was also quite an attraction. I repeat green is the new black.

We also had the pleasure of getting the grand tour from Dariano DeRosa, master frame builder and son of grand master Ugo DeRosa.

ATA Cycle is proud to announce that we are now have Museeuw Bikes available. Museeuw bikes are exclusively distributed in the United States by Velocon Sports. Started by World Champion and
Lion of Flanders, Johan Museeuw, this Belgian company is the first to marry
carbon with flax fibers in hand crafted bicycles. Flax fiber is a superior
natural fiber that has already proven to be an asset in high performance
automobiles, which require stiffness, strength and shock absorption without
compromising light weight. The
technology has won an IF (International Forum Design) product design award in
Europe for best new product for 2008. Museeuw Bikes combine the flax fibers

Husam and Andy recently attended an intensive two day training seminar on triathlon bike fitting at Slowtwitch in beautiful Valyermo, CA.

They received hands-on training in the latest in tri-bike fitting and technology from Dan Empfield founder of Slowtwitch as well as Qunitana Roo. Dan's also been competing in triathlons since the first Iron-Man Hawaii back in 1981. His years of experience in both the industry and as a competitor have given him an insight into how a tri bike should fit that few other people have.
here Dan's adjusting the handlebars on Andy's bike to fine tune his position.

Please make special note of Andy's ground breaking use of "Aero-Hair" (patent pending)

A key component of the Slowtwitch fitting is the measurement of angles (i.e. Leg angle, hip angle, etc) to maintain a consistent body position as the angles of the bike are changed. In this picture Dan is preparing to measure Andy's knee angle.

By keeping the angles the same the fitter and the rider are able to achieve the most aggressive and, more importantly, most powerful position without sacrificing comfort.

Check out slowtwitch.com for more info on the fitting system and when you're ready to bring your triathlon riding to the next level call Andy in Cambridge at (617)354-0907 or Husam in Concord at (978) 369-5960 to schedule a fitting.
